Abstract
The Belt and Road Initiative is China’s proposition for seeking common development with other countries in the world. The year 2023 marks the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative. Over the past ten years, the initiative has connected more than 150countries in Asia, Africa, Europe and Latin America, covering two-thirds of the world’s population and accounting for about 40% of the world’s GDP. Looking from a global perspective, the investment in sub-Saharan Africa in Belt and Road cooperation has increased by 130% in sub-Saharan Africa over the past decade, among which the amount of construction contracts has increased by 69%.
