Abstract
The source of African underdevelopment has been linked with inadequate and inflexible intra-African trade. It has evolved into a problem that must be resolved if Africa is to meet the sustainable development goals (SDGs) by 2030 and its ambitious development plan by 2060. Among the frustrating problems facing the continent are trade and investment within Africa, particularly the implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Initiatives, Africa’s
industrialization and export development, trade finance, and financial sustainability.
